Cable & Wireless’ Flow is to premiere three original TV shows at the CaribbeanTales International Film Festival (CTFF) in Toronto.
The pilot series, BattleDream Chronicles2, HEAT3 and CaribbeanGrlNYC4, are the result of an ongoing partnership between the CaribbeanTales Media Group and telco and pay-TV provider Flow.
Produced by CaribbeanTales, the pilots will also air exclusively on Flow’s flagship entertainment network, Flow 1, later this year across the Caribbean.
“We are rewriting the script on support for local and regional content,” said John Reid, CEO of Cable & Wireless, a Liberty Global company which operates Flow across the region. “The Caribbean has always had talented filmmakers; what it has lacked is a support system that enables skills development, assistance in production and distribution, and ultimately the opportunity to monetise content.”
While BattleDream Chronicles has already been showcased, HEAT will be screened today (13 September) at the CTFF 2017 special Menelik Shabazz Tribute, and CaribbeanGrlNYC will be shown on 20 September.
