Dutch MVNO Youfone is launching three live TV channels from SPI International/Filmbox in September.
The additions to the operator’s content bouquet include wildlife and culture documentary channel DocuBox, 24-hour martial arts channel FightBox and SPI’s new interactive gaming channel Gametoon.
Aimed at millennials, Gametoon features highlights of popular video games, entertainment programming from gaming YouTubers and eSports tournaments.
“SPI’s channels on the YoufoneTV platform are broadcast without any commercial breaks. All three channels offer premium content from the world’s top producers,” said Berk Uziyel, executive director, SPI. “We are happy to reach new audiences and grow our presence in this part of Europe.”
Valentijn Rensing, CEO of Youfone, added: “With YoufoneTV we are eager to start with fresh content and new channels and thereby offering a different and unique television package in comparison to most operators in the Netherlands.”
This latest deal follows hot on the heels of an extension to the agreement between SPI and Romanian satellite TV provider Focus Sat, operated by UPC DTH.
