MySports, the new Swiss sports channel, has been enriching the TV landscape for over one month. Four further distribution partners have been added since the channel was launched. They are now also offering the MySports channels and allowing their customers to enjoy innovative live sports entertainment and thrilling analyses. Glattwerk operates in Dübendorf, R. Geissmann AG in the Basel region, Fiberstream in Lachen SZ and AjoieNet in the canton of Jura. Together, the four new partners reach over 20,000 homes.
MySports: For the sport. For the fans
Bruno Alluisetti, Head of Telecommunications at Glattwerk is also very pleased: “Lots of hockey fans live in Dübendorf. But with MySports we can offer sports fans even more: international football, handball and motor sports highlights complete the extensive MySports offer.”
Anina Lesmann, member of the executive board of R. Geissmann AG: “I am convinced that the model consisting of a basic channel, which we are providing to all of our customers at no extra cost, and a premium package will go down very well with our customers.”
René Mächler, CEO of Fiberstream: “The MySports programming is diverse and innovative. I am certain that the channel will be very well received by sports fans in our area.”
Jean-Charles Petignat, Owner of AjoieNet says: “I am delighted that our customers can enjoy lots of live sports content as well as games featuring HC Ajoie in the Swiss League, thanks to MySports.”
And so the MySports family is continuing to grow. As the rights holder, UPC provides the MySports signal to the distribution partners. The distribution partners are free to structure their packages as they wish and compete with one another.
