How to transfer the software from receiver to receiver.
Connect the 2 receivers with a RS-232 null modem cable (pin 2 to pin 3, pin 3 to 2, pin 5 to pin 5).
WARNING : This cable is not the same like the one to load the sotware from the computer to the receiver.
Switch on the 2 receivers.
Go in the menu of the receiver wo was already update, after in USER SETUP select S/W TRANSFER and push OK of the remote control.
In the window who appears select CODE and push on the button channel up on the front pannel of the receiver.
The transfer begin (WARNING : When the transfer had begonen don't stop it) and at the end the two receivers switch off and on.

How to update your @-Star
Save the software LOADER on your computer, save the file MainSw.bin on your computer,
save the software KeyEnchanter on your computer, and save the file keyDDMMYY.bin on your computer.
WARNING : Connect your receiver to your computer with a normal RS-232 cable femele-femele (pin 2 to pin 2, pin 3 to 3, pin 5 to pin 5)
Connect your receiver to the supply 220V.
From your hard disk run the software LOADER.
Select the com depending of your computer.
For STB MODEL, write : ALPHA STAR (Please care of Space and Capital letter)
Click on BIN File and select the file MainSw.bin on your computer.
Select : Flash Rom File
Click on Download.

The view metter must arrive until 100%.
WARNING : Wait until the message DOWNLOAD COMPLETE!, click on OK when it appears.

After down load main S/W, STB will switch OFF – ON automatically.
Close the software LOADER.exe and run the software KeyEnchanter.exe who will help you (in the future also) to load last keys.
Select the com depending of your computer.
Click on Download and select the file keyDDMMYY.bin on your computer.
Click on OK when it appears.

Your STB is ready to use the special functions.

What to do when the keys change
There are 2 possibilities :
1°. Come again on this site and load the new file keyDDMMYY.bin with the software KeyEnchanter
2°. You can also modifie the keys with the remote control :
- Please enter Main menu.
- Please enter Parental Control.
- Please enter Second Pin.
- Please enter “0000” on password bar. (Password is the same as Parent Control Keys)
- You can see SECA, VIACESS, Irdeto / Betacrypt, Nagravision and Sat Default Key on CAS system menu.
- Provider ID & Key number menu will be shown on the screen. You can modifie them with the remote control like explain in the menu.
- You will find the new keys on the Links of our homepage.
