Marking the company's first expansion outside of its HQ in Bergen and reinforcing what it says is a media industry trend that innovation is happening all over Europe, interactive TV firm Sixty has opened a new London office.

Sixty delivers interactive and innovative TV on-screen graphics and solutions that allow users to design and launch television experiences across any platform or device. Its solutions are designed to empower broadcasters, operators and content owners to stand out in the multi-platform world of TV, with solutions that make TV look and feel right to demanding global audiences.

Having the Southbank Central base, says the company positions it well in a city that it believes is at the heart of TV and broadcasting, and moreover is a reflection of the company's rising ambition and desire to help broadcasters engage with their viewers and elevate the viewing experience through interactive technology on a global scale.

As part of the launch, Sixty is announcing two new hires who will be based in London and will be responsible for expanding the company's recent growth and reputation. Adam Bowley (pictured left) has been appointed as vice president of broadcast technology while Gary Ellis has been appointed as vice president of TV technology.

Previously head of broadcast data services at Perform Group, Bowley will have as one of his primary objectives the task of helping to develop Sixty's broadcast technology across the sports industry and beyond, with a special focus on live broadcast, post-production and OTT platforms. Formerly CTO at Exset UK, Ellis will help to develop the company's technical architecture and end-to-end IP, broadcast and on-demand systems.

"We are excited to welcome Adam and Gary into our team and to see them lead our business at our new office in London," said Sixty CEO and founder Kjetil Horneland. "The decision to open our new London office was simple; it's a reflection of our rising ambition and desire to help broadcasters engage with their viewers and elevate the viewing experience through interactive technology. Our global presence has grown exponentially over the last few years and Adam and Gary's experience will play a fundamental role in developing our position in the UK and beyond."

As part of its plans to further expand the company, Sixty is currently looking to appoint a new sales director for its London office.
