Expanding Mediaset’s international footprint in Central America, the Mexican direct-to-home (DTH) operator Sky has taken CincoMAS to Costa Rica and Guatemala.
The pay-TV network, which was already available in Panama and Mexico, aims to enter other Central American territories throughout the year, including Nicaragua, Honduras and the Dominican Republic.
“This launch keeps us on track to enter the main TV markets in Latin America,” said Yolanda Giordani, director of the international network. “Our signal continues joining the largest pan-American operators, delivering subscribers content that leads the audience in Spain.”
CincoMAS, which is distributed in Latin America by ATM Broadcast through the SES-6 and SES-1 satellites, is the first international signal launched by Mediaset España. In addition to Central America, the pay-TV network is also available in Chile, Peru, Paraguay and Ecuador.
