The leading Polish alternative telco Netia saw its TV subscriber base grow by 5% in 2017, ending the year with a total of 190,000.
While it also had around 1.01 million fixed line telephony and around 640,000 broadband customers, as well as still being the country’s leading MVNO (143,000 customers, or 28% more than a year earlier), the total number of telco services it sold fell from 2.13 million to 1.99 million.
Netia had sales revenues of €290,515,000 in 2017, up from €285,081,000 a year earlier. It had an operational loss of €24,294,000 compared to an operational profit of €7,283,000 in 2016, while its net loss of €33,890,000 contrasted to a net profit of €3,458,000 in 2016.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, the proposed takeover of Netia by Cyfrowy Polsat is currently being investigated by Poland’s competition authority UOKiK.
