Sky’s over-the-top (OTT) operation in Spain has launched an app for PlayStation models 3 and 4.
Available on Sony’s PlayStation Store, the app will enable owners of the popular game console to access 14 linear pay-TV channels and a video-on-demand (VOD) catalogue with over 3,500 hours of content.
The platform includes the entire seasons of programmes like The Walking Dead, Vikings, and Rick and Morty, and has recently announced the exclusivity for the premiere of Gomorrah’s season three.
“At Sky, we aim to deliver the best Spanish-language entertainment to our subscribers… This alliance with PlayStation enables us to reach more users, improving viewers’ experience,” said David Núñez, director, market development, Spain, Sky.
Added Jorge Huguet, director, marketing, Iberia, PlayStation: “Entertainment is at the core of our brand and we’ve continuously improved our services beyond videogames. Through Sky, our users will have the possibility of enjoying a great deal of quality content on their consoles.”
Each Sky subscription enables three simultaneous devices, including Android and iOS mobile devices, Samsung smart TVs and the Roku-powered Sky TV box.
