Hollywood entertainment marketing agency Mob Scene has named Brett Abbey as its new CFO.
This is the latest in a line of executive appointments for the company. Abbey comes to Mob Scene from entertainment marketing agency mOcean, where he was the CFO for the past five years. Prior to that, he held various positions across a diverse blend of large Fortune 100 companies, including The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros and AIG. He has also worked in-house with entrepreneurial ventures such as Trailer Park.
“Brett is truly a great addition to our expanding company as we continue to evolve into new businesses,” said Thomas Grane, CEO, Mob Scene. “Brett has that rare duality – he has a great background in big company discipline and structure, and also gets along really well with creative thinkers and entrepreneurs. We welcome him to Mob Scene.”
Added Abbey: “I am very excited to join the Mob Scene team and look forward to the challenges of a different POV on the entertainment industry. This new position allows me to bring my years of experience from leadership roles I’ve previously held in similar creative business settings. The entrepreneurial feel of Mob Scene and its equity investors has inspired me to take the lead on providing the financial vision and strategies necessary during this exciting evolution of the company.”
Abbey holds a BS in Finance from Saint Joseph’s University and an MBA from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.
