Nickelodeon secures CEE satellite licence

The Czech Radio and Television Council (RRTV) has awarded MTV Networks a 12-year licence for the satellite distribution of the kidís channel Nickelodeon.
According to Parabola, it covers the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey.
The channel is on-air for 24 hours daily and its main language is English.
Alongside this, the RRTV has informed six of the countries Ė Slovakia, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Romania and Slovenia Ė that they can distribute the channel in their territories with a Czech licence.
Separately, the RRTV has awarded 12-year internet licences to the Czech music channels Ocko Star and Ocko Expres.
