CNBC set to bring back Deal or No Deal

CNBC has given the green light to one of America’s most popular and beloved game shows, Deal or No Deal, which will be returning with its iconic host, Howie Mandel.

The reimagined programme will is produced for CNBC by production company Truly Original, a subsidiary of Endemol Shine North America.

Mandel, who hosted the original series that ran on NBC from 2005-2009, returns to host and executive produce the new series, as does executive producer and showrunner of the original series, Scott St John.

“Our prime time programmes, with their focus on business and money, strive to be both entertaining and instructive,” said CNBC chairman Mark Hoffman. “Shows like The Profit and Shark Tank are built around high stakes and high rewards. Those same elements live at the heart of Deal or No Deal, which is why we believe it to be a perfect fit. Today’s announcement confirms our deep commitment to primetime, strengthening our line-up, by adding one of the most successful game shows of all time along with the popular, original host, Howie Mandel.”
