Following an agreement between the BBC and DIRECTV, the British miniseries Paula will air across Latin America.

The first episode is set to premiere on 19 March through the satellite network OnDIRECTV across Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The three-episode show will also be available on-demand via streaming, for mobile and connected devices, through DIRECTV Play.

Starring Denise Gough (The Fall) and Tom Hughes (Victoria), Paula is a thriller premiered last year in the UK, where it averaged 2.5 million viewers on BBC Two. It has also been broadcast in Ireland, the Netherlands and Sweden.

It tells the story of a young chemistry teacher, Paula, whose life is turned upside down after a one-night stand with James. They become locked in a dance of destruction.
