Poland’s second largest cable operator Vectra has signed a five-year agreement with Da Vinci.
Starting March 21, the educational channel, which is aimed at kids and families, will be available to all Vectra subscribers. However, as of April 5 it will only be offered to those that opt for Vectra’s platinum package. In addition to the Da Vinci channel, the Vectra offer will also include a Da Vinci VOD collection.
Commenting on the development, Grzegorz Plaza, the head of the channel in Poland, said: “We are thrilled that Vectra has noticed and appreciated the changes we have introduced in Da Vinci in recent months: the new channel schedule, the first local production, modern setting and HD quality. The five-year period for which we have signed the contract is for us a proof of the operator’s faith in the potential of our channel”.
Malgorzata Wojtaszko, responsible for the development of the programming offer at Vectra, added: “We are very pleased that Da Vinci will appear in Vectra’s spring programming offer. Our subscribers will get access to a friendly, inspiring and positive entertainment element of education for the whole family.”
The Da Vinci channel is operated by Berlin-based Da Vinci Media. It is available in 18 language version to over 30 million homes in CEE, Africa and Asia.
