HP, Secuoya partner for VR, AR solutions

Spanish broadcaster Secuoya and HP’s Iberian unit have entered into an agreement to develop virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and mixed reality solutions.

The alliance, which is the first partnership of Secuoya’s new innovation unit Nexus, aims to create a common portfolio of extended reality solutions for branding and corporate businesses.

The final goal is to integrate HP’s VR and AR developments into Secuoya’s marketing and advertising solutions, including immersive experiences and 360° video, for brands and corporations.

The agreement, through which the broadcaster will gain access to HP’s virtual reality products, also means a consolidation of Secuoya and HP former commercial relationships.

“For Secuoya, becoming an important player in a growing market such as virtual reality, and being able to bring the latest technology into the corporate sector, is an important bet, strengthening the group’s position in marketing, communications and transmedia,” said the company.
