VSN, Watchity join RTVE innovation hub

Following Telefónica, Watchity and VSN have become partners of the Journalism Innovation Hub developed by Spain’s public broadcaster RTVE.


Building on its video expertise, Watchity will focus on developing multi-camera, cloud-based production tools and processes. Watchity is a software and technology provider that has a cloud-based live video editing platform.

The provider of media-asset-management (MAM) solutions for broadcasters, VSN, will focus on edition and content management as well as automatisation and content documentation and storage.

The innovation project aims to integrate digital tools and systems across the entire chain of news and content production, studying the possibilities of augmented and virtual reality and mobile broadcasting.

Telefónica, which became the first private partner of RTVE’s initiative, will mostly focus on 5G’s effect on TV broadcast and communications.
