Overon opens drone-filming division

The Mediapro-owned company Overon has launched a drone division covering both live broadcasting and content production.


As Spain’s drone regulation has become more flexible, Overon, which has gained a fly licence from la Asociación Española de Seguridad Aérea (AESA), has created a division with six unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and 15 pilots, camera operators and producers.

The selected drones, which are provided by DJI, are the models Inspire and Mavic Pro.

According to Mediapro, Overon’s unit will grow in the coming months in order to meet simultaneous drone-filming demands in different parts of Spain.

In April 2018, the company will carry the first live broadcasting filmed with drones for the country’s public broadcaster RTVE.
