Broadcasters in the UK, Italy and Scandinavia have snapped up a range of documentaries in Cannes from Australian distribution company Looking Glass International (LGI).

UKTV has bought the hour-long documentary William and Harry: Brothers in Arms, produced by Entertain Me, which follows the story of British princes William and Harry, the children of the ill-fated marriage between Charles and Diana, through early turmoil and tragedy to adulthood.

Meanwhile, Italian public broadcaster RAI has acquired Urban Diggers: MRT Malaysia. Produced by Malaysia’s Nuvista Media (formerly known as Novista), the one-hour documentary covers the trials and tribulations of constructing the underground section of Kuala Lumpur’s new Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system.

Scandinavia’s Viasat has purchased the hour-long Volcano: Creation & Destruction documentary, produced by independent New Zealand producer Making Movies. The show, also distributed by LGI, explores the science behind New Zealand’s volcanic past, present and future.
