Turkey’s Saran Media has acquired exclusive broadcast rights to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in four central Asian countries.
Hosted by Russia, 32 national teams will compete for the world’s most coveted prize in football from 14 June to 15 July 2018.
The new agreement with the media rights agency covers all television, radio, mobile and broadband broadcast rights in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
Saran already holds the Turkish media rights with FIFA for the global football body’s Club World Cup competition through a two-year deal agreed in 2017. However, broadcaster TRT holds the rights to the World Cup in Turkey.
