Televisa has refreshed its Latin American pay-TV network Unicable, which will be rebranded as U starting next week.
As part of the revamp, the channel’s target will now be Mexican and Latin American women who will be offered entertainment shows and series.
“Changing the naming and the brand of Unicable aims to evolve the network along with the audience, thus remaining among the viewers’ preferences,” said Raquel Rocha, director, content and production, U.
The refreshed programming slate includes the late-night show Montse y Joe, the talk show Netas Divinas, the game show Game Time and the lifestyle programme Wellness y Fitness. In addition, U will broadcast some of Televisa’s in-house series like El Chema Venegas, El Seńor de los Cielos and La Bella y Las Bestias.
The network’s new brand and line-up will be released on 23 April across most of pay-TV operators in Mexico and Latin America.
