    Re: understanding channel lists

    What is a channel list ?

    It's only an excel file (database /
    spreadsheet application ) that contains some informations about channels that your box need to change for another channel.

    <satellites><sat name="Amazonas 1 (55.4W)" flags="1" position="-554"><transponder frequency="12629000" symbol_rate="7200000" polarization="1" fec_inner="3" system="1" modulation="2"/><transponder frequency="12647000" symbol_rate="7200000"

    The channel list is a compilation of this info on a database (excel or calc)

    polarization="1" fec_inner="3" system="1" modulation="2"/></sat><sat name="Intelsat 707 (53.0W)" flags="1" position="-530">
    </sat><sat name="Intelsat 1R (50.0W)" flags="1" position="-500">
    </sat><sat name="Intelsat 14 (45.0W)" flags="1" position="-450"><transponder frequency="11608000" symbol_rate="1851000" polarization="0" fec_inner="4" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11498000" symbol_rate="7593000" polarization="1" fec_inner="3" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11452000" symbol_rate="2314000" polarization="1" fec_inner="3" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11495000" symbol_rate="3900000" polarization="0" fec_inner="2" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11514000" symbol_rate="3900000" polarization="1" fec_inner="2" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11519000" symbol_rate="3254000" polarization="1" fec_inner="3" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11523000" symbol_rate="2893000" polarization="1" fec_inner="3" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11546000" symbol_rate="1580000" polarization="1" fec_inner="5" system="0" modulation="1"/><transponder frequency="11576000" symbol_rate="3900000" polarization="0" fec_inner="2" system="0" modulation="1"/>

    Your box read this file to change the channel.
    If you want another channel on other sat, you need to insert in your box datas for the concerned sat.
    If you don't, you cannot reach the desired channel.

    The best provider ?
    The most important is the date of the file (usually channels don't often change info, but sometimes new channels appear & other disappear.
    You can make your own using king of sat or lyngsat... database to insert on a channel.lst file.

    Regards
