How long for Sky card (free view) to open?

I have C-Tech 2000 sat receiver. In it I have T-Rex CAM that works with my sky free view card. I did add a satellite dish today that is pointed at 28.2E and I did put my sky card into the T-Rex cam. I am wondering if that is enough to open the card to it starts to open Channel 4, Five etc, or do I need to have the card running in my sky box for few hours to open it.

card will only update in any sly box some times takes overnight 1 took 3 days usley lasts 1 month,

also dreamboxes can auto roll the sky card and so do vantage boxes. it can take a few hours, depending when the signal goes out.
