The Dreambox used standard for flashing or channel changing an internet connection.
At home no problem, but on a camping in France it was difficult on my Laptop with W10.
I use a UTP cross cable from Laptop to Dreambox but no correct response.
There must be change a lot of network settings before DCC connect the Dreambox.
After that, you must put all port and other settings back to “normal”.

To go round all this trouble, I use a old router (Sweex W050V2) and two straight cables.
One from the laptop to port 1 and one from the Dreambox to port 2, the WAN port is not used.
The first time ask Windows to connect and say yes, than you can use DCC via Router.

Supplement;
Laptop Network settings > Ethernet > Change Adapter options > Ethernet > (right mouse click)
Properties > Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IP4) > Properties > General (tab) > everything on Automatically > at the (tab) user-configured alternate configuration with the IP address 192.168.0.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0 then Turn off laptop.
Connect cables Dreambox > Router > Laptop, then turn on Dreambox and Router.
Start the Laptop, start DCC and use Search to find de address of Dreambox and Router.
