Hoping that its company's expertise in CDNs and video streaming will help the industry forum create best practices and solutions, Broadpeak has joined the Streaming Video Alliance, the association dedicated to solving critical online video market challenges.

The Streaming Video Alliance comprises members from across the online video value chain and video streaming ecosystem — including service providers, technology providers, network operators, and content owners — who aim to work together to produce best practices, specifications, and requirements to provide a better viewer experience at scale. Broadpeak joins members such as Comcast, Fox and Sky to create solutions for video delivery on every screen.

“The Streaming Video Alliance addresses topics that are at the heart of our strategy, from optimising video delivery to reducing latency, enhancing security, leveraging multicast capabilities of networks for live multiscreen video delivery, and using advanced analytics,” commented Broadpeak CEO Jacques Le Mancq.

“These technology innovations are designed to ensure a flawless quality of experience across all screens and streamline the distribution process for content providers and operators. We look forward to bringing our experience in these areas to the alliance.”
