Upping the ante in its content offering, SPI International has announced an East Europe deal with filmed entertainment company Rocket Science for crime thriller Destroyer, starring Nicole Kidman, and Harmony Korine's new comedy The Beach Bum.

Modern Los Angeles crime thriller Destroyer is described as being soaked in the city’s haze and fired up on ‘explosive’ action. Starring Oscar-winner Nicole Kidman, she plays a game of cops and robbers in what is being called her toughest role yet.

The Beach Bum, directed by Harmony Korine (Spring Breakers, Kids), follows the misadventures of Moondog, a stoner poet played by Academy Award winner Matthew McConaughey. Co-starring with McConaughey are Snoop Dog, Zac Efron, Martin Lawrence and Isla Fisher.

“SPI/FilmBox is excited to bring these two hot new releases to audiences across CEE,” commented SPI International CEO Berk Uziyel. “We are thrilled to see Nicole Kidman garnering serious Oscar buzz for her role in Destroyer while The Beach Bum, with its killer cast, is simply destined to be a huge commercial hit in theatres and later a highly-anticipated TV premiere on FilmBox channels.”
