BBC Studios signs content deal with myVideo

BBC Studios has announced a content deal with OTT service myVideo that will give over 4.5 million Taiwanese viewers access to more than 200 hours of BBC dramas.
Available in a BBC-branded space within the service, programmes include the complete series of crime drama Luther, starring Idris Elba; series one to 11 of Doctor Who; and Doctor Foster, the mystery-drama starring Suranne Jones.
Kelvin Yau, SVP and GM of Greater China, BBC Studios, said: “We have seen increasing interest in premium British dramas in Taiwan, and are very pleased to be working with myVideo to deliver quality British drama to meet this demand. We are confident that the programmes will be well-received by myVideo’s subscribers.”
Daphne Lee, VP of new media service business at parent company Taiwan Mobile, added: “This is the first time we are offering premium British drama on our service. We are always looking out for new content to entertain our subscribers and we are very excited to share with our Taiwanese subscribers these award-winning and highly rated dramas from BBC Studios.”
