It may be based in the heart of the football-mad New World, but DIRECTV says that it is looking to the grand teams and leagues of the Old Continent to boost audiences on its core sports platform.

The company says that its DIRECTV Sports offer will transmit throughout the month of November ‘unmissable’ fixtures featuring the best teams in Europe including the English Premier League, France’s Ligue 1 and the UEFA Nations League.

Content will be available to viewers in Argentina, The Caribbean, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela who take the company’s core TV offer as well as the online platforms DIRECTV Play, DIRECTVSports.com and the DIRECTV Sports app.

The action kicks off on 3 November with liver coverage of the Premier League’s top of the table clash between rapidly improving Arsenal and a resurgent title-hungry Liverpool. On 24 November, the service will return to the Premier League for an equally important London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. The action from Wembley Stadium will be broadcast in 4K/Ultra HD.

Across the English Channel, DIRECTV will also for showing Monaco versus Paris St Germain on 10 November, a match that will likely attract huge local audiences thanks to the presence of players such as Neymar, Radamel Falcao, Edinson Cavani and Ángel Di María.

Looking at the international arena, from 15–20 November DIRECTV Sports will transmit what it believes are the stand out fixtures from the last round of UEFA Nations League group matches.
