Net Insight claims largest-ever core product order

Media transport products, software and services provider Net Insight has announced that a Eurasian broadcast infrastructure operator has made a significant investment in its Nimbra VA media-over-internet solution.

Nimbra VA is designed to provide reliable and cost-efficient transport over public internet with high quality of service (QoS) of digital video signals to regional head-ends for local distribution.

The flagship solution will serve as a nationwide internet/IP-based backup feed in parallel to the main primary distribution that goes over satellite. The solution covers the entire nation of the as yet unnamed operator wide in an order than and the order value exceeds €1 million. Delivery and implementation will take place during the fourth quarter 2018.

“This is our largest Nimbra VA order to date,” remarked Net Insight interim CEO Henrik Sund. “Our media over internet transport solution will secure the nationwide delivery of TV and will enable the customer to increase the number of TV services in the future.”
