Suspense drama Memories of the Alhambra is set to stream on Netflix around the world from 1 December, shortly after its debut on Korean cable network tvN.

The 16 part drama, starring Hyun Bin (Secret Garden and My Lovely Sam-Soon) and Park Shin-hye (Pinocchio and Heirs), will be released by the US streaming giant in Asia and English-speaking territories an hour after its broadcast in Korea, and be available the next day in Japan. Elsewhere in the world, including Europe and South America, Netflix subscribers will be able to watch two episodes of Memories of Alhambra each week starting on 11 December.

Memories of the Alhambra is a suspense romance drama that centres on the CEO of an investment company called Yoo Jin-woo (played by Hyun Bin). When he visits the Spanish city of Granada for a business trip, he gets embroiled in a mystery in an old hostel run by Jung Hee-joo (played by Park Shin-hye).

The series is produced by Seoul’s Studio Dragon, the experienced team behind hit dramas Stranger and Mr Sunshine. It is directed by Ahn Gil-ho (Stranger) and written by Song Jae-jung (Queen and I, Nine, and W).

It follows other Korean dramas, including Life and Something in the Rain, which Netflix has acquired and taken to a global audience.
