Video-on-demand (VOD) platform Cinemoz has launched an original content channel called Moz Originals, dedicated to Arab entertainment.
The Beirut-based digital service, which launched in 2011, is set to launch the free channel on 30 November.
Titles will include futuristic Lebanese short film Last Days of the Man of Tomorrow, and comedy mini series Arabs in Space, which stars Larry Bou Safi, Ahmad Helal and Owaidh Al Otaibi. Created by Cinemoz, Arabs in Space features a crew of haphazardly chosen Arab explorers who venture into deep space to save the Middle East and its civilisation.
Founded by Karim Safieddine and Maroun Najm, Cinemoz is in discussion with major studios and independent filmmakers to acquire Arabic classics, Bollywood titles and Hollywood greats, as well as providing a platform for emerging local talent.
The advertising funded video-on-demand (VOD) service is available across the Arab world and for the Arab diaspora around the world.
