On 24 November, virtually, all of Argentina will be hooked on the second leg of the Copa Libertadores final between River Plate and Boca Juniors and, in a gesture to fans, operator Telecom Argentina is reviewing the terms of its packages during the game.

The two teams have always had a fierce rivalry and the second leg of the final sees the two Buenos Aires teams locked at 2-2 going into the finale at River’s Monumental stadium. With such massive interest in the capital and across the country, the company has agreed that clients of its Personal phone package, both pre- and post-paid, who are also customers of the Cablevisión video offer with the Flow service can enjoy watching the final on their devices without eating to their regular monthly data allowances. The game is also available through Fox Sports on the Cablevisión Clásico, Cablevisión Digital and Cablevision HD channels.

Explaining its offer, Telecom Argentina somewhat poetically says that there are moments in life that “have the capacity to be burned in the heart and in the retina of people,” and those who have the possibility of experiencing them are “truly privileged.” The company made a similar consumption offer during the 2018 World Cup in Russia leading to customers making 13 million views.

“This final of the Copa Libertadores is a unique event worldwide and paralyses the hearts of all football lovers, whether they are fans of these clubs or not,” remarked Martín Heine, marketing director of Telecom Argentina. “For our brands it is strategic, and it has become a priority to accompany customers and provide them with the mobile experience for accessing this type of content, accompanying their new consumption habits.”
