NBCUniversal International Networks’ (NBCUIN) pop culture channel E! Entertainment Television has launched a localised version of the E! online Asia digital destination.
A companion to the linear channel and said to be the go-to entertainment authority in the region, the site focuses on digital content in the local entertainment, celebrity and female lifestyle space, spotlighting Asian stars and Hollywood celebrities in Asia. It is also said to offer a suite of opportunities for sponsored content and brand partnerships.
As part of the localisation initiative, Pakee Tan has been appointed as managing digital editor, E! online Asia and he will be responsible for curating the overall editorial content on the website and producing original content. Karisa Sukamto joins as product manager where she will be working with stakeholders and vendors, both internally and externally, to optimise site performance.
“We are excited to be launching E! online Asia where we can connect passionately with our Asian pop culture fans to deliver a unique and localised E! experience,” said Christine Fellowes, managing director, NBCUniversal International Networks, Asia Pacific. “With the new E! site, E! cements its position at the pulse of pop culture in Hollywood, and now also across Asia.”
