Endemol’s The Oldenheim Twelve begins global journey

Hit Dutch drama series The Oldenheim Twelve has been licensed to Wowwow in Japan, Acorn TV in North America, and Russia’s Showjet and IVI.RU, following deals by Endemol Shine International.

The drama, written by Lex Passchier and Martin van Steijn, has become RTL 4’s most successful this year. Concentrating on the disappearance of a teenage girl and subsequent disappearances, the show takes an unusual turn.

The Dutch network has ordered a second season from the same writers, that will take place in a different village with new characters and will once again be. Anne van der Linden will also return as director.

In 2019, The Oldenheim Twelve will become the first Dutch programme to be aired on Japanese satellite channel Wowwow, It will also stream on RLJ Entertainment’s Acorn TV, which takes mostly British and international television to a North American audience. Russia’s Showjet and IVI.RU LLC have also snapped up the series.
