Los Angeles/Paris-based producer and distributor Prime Entertainment Group has won a deal with Sky New Zealand for a major package deal of its cinema shows including the renewal of six episodes of the series Hollywood Singing And Dancing (13 x 52’) as well as a great documentary on the Warner brothers (1 x 52’).
Hollywood Singing And Dancing retraces the greatest musical films of all times from the classics Singing in the Rain with Gene Kelly, Cabaret with Liza Minelli to new musicals like Moulin Rouge and even Tim burton's adaptations. Described as a ‘very visual’ series, it features classic movie excerpts, music and dancing scenes, colour and the archival footage to recall all-time favourite Hollywood movies.
“It’s always a great satisfaction to work with the Sky channels, they are really great,” said Prime MD David Freydt. “We had the pleasure to start working with Sky New Zealand in 2011 and since then we have closed several major deals for our entertainment series including Close Up (91 x 26’), Hollywood’s Best Film Directors (91 x 26’) and now they go again for our show about Hollywood musicals. We are truly glad that our programmes are working so well on their channel and that they keep on renewing with us the top-quality programmes that they need.”
Prime also works with other Sky channels such as Sky Arts Germany, Sky Italy and BSkyB in the UK.
