SET gets set for Super Dancer S3

Hindi channel Sony Entertainment Television (SET) is getting set to launch the third season of talent show Super Dancer in India on 29 December.

The dance reality show, produced by Frames Production Company, will air each Saturday and Sunday evening at 8pm.

Retaining its trio of original judges – Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty, filmmaker Anurag Basu and choreographer Geeta Kapur – the show will be hosted by Rithvik Dhanjani and Paritosh Tripathi.

Super Dancer Chapter 3 auditioned talent across 11 cities, with just 12 of the aspiring dancers chosen to compete for the title on a national platform.

“Super Dancer, a format created by us, has had a successful run in its last two seasons. This format has not only been appreciated here in India but in the international markets as well and will soon be adapted globally,” said Ashish Golvalkar, senior creative director – programming, SET.

“What sets Super Dancer apart from others is the celebration of passion towards dance and the encouragement the platform provides to the participants to excel at what they do best. The same has been extended in our programme’s campaign, celebrating the hard work and passion of a champion.”

Ranjeet Thakur and Hemant Ruprell from Frames Production added: “Super Dancer Chapter 3 promises to elevate the level of dance performances and entertainment.
