GOLFTV adds Ladies European Tour to the mix

As its launch in January 2019 approacahes, GOLFTV has teed off a deal with Discovery to showcase the Ladies European Tour.

THe GOLFTV is a joint venture between content giant Discovery and the PGA Tour and will be a live and on-demand international video streaming service. IT will offer fans a one-stop destination to access the sport’s exciting moments, one-stop destination to access the sport’s exciting moments, superstar players and tournaments, across screens. It will offer more than 2,000 hours of live action each year as well as premium content on-demand. Live coverage will include the six Tours operating under the PGA Tour umbrella and nearly 150 tournaments annually - including the Players Championship, the FedExCup Playoffs and the Presidents Cup. Only a week ago Discovery struck an agreement with European Tour to expand the GOLFTV portfolio.

The new agreement with the Ladies European Tour.features multiplatform live rights to all Ladies European Tour events, as well as the next two Solheim Cups in 25 countries in Europe - including Denmark, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Russia and Sweden.

The coverage includes the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open, Hero Women's Indian Open and Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana season finale, as well as the Golf Sixes. The biggest team event in women's golf will also feature, with live coverage of the next two editions of the Solheim Cup at Gleneagles in Scotland in 2019, and at Inverness Club in Toledo, in 2021.
