FilmBox Live app now available on Ooredoo TV

Multi-genre VOD supplier SPI International has struck a new business partnership with international communications company Ooredoo which will see its FilmBox Live app now be available on the Ooredoo TV set-top-box service.

Ooredoo TV features home-based, plug-and-play entertainment and the company claims to the first telco within the MENA region to offer the ability by which customers can ‘easily’ sign up at any of the company’s stores and start enjoying streaming films, TV series and more from around the world.

“We want our customers to enjoy the internet and all of its possibilities,” explained Feras bin Abdullah Al Shaikh, director of consumer sales at Ooredoo. “With Ooredoo TV, users can experience video-on-demand at the click of a button. Today, customers are increasingly moving away from traditional TV watching habits of following a set schedule for catching their favourite series and soaps, to the flexibility of online and on-demand streaming; and that is exactly what Ooredoo TV offers.”
