In the latest of a flurry of recent deals, A+E Networks, in conjunction with Trifecta Entertainment & Media, has announced the broadcast syndication renewal of the hit HISTORY series, Pawn Stars.
Pawn Stars has been one of HISTORY’s top performers since its premiere in 2009. Filmed in Las Vegas, Pawn Stars chronicles the daily activities at The World Famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop, a 24-hour family owned business that opened in 1989. Going into its third year, Pawn Stars is one of the top-rated off-cable strips cleared in over 85% of the US and the series will return for the 2019-20 season with 100 new additional episodes.
Pawn Stars is offered to stations on a straight barter basis, with Trifecta Entertainment & Media feeding out 10 episodes each week. Trifecta Entertainment & Media, created by former executives at MGM Television, is distributing Pawn Stars to all broadcast outlets, as well as handling all ad sales activities of the series in syndication.
The move is the second A+E Networks syndication deal in two days coming hot on the heels of the company partnering with Los Angeles-based PPI Releasing for the US broadcast syndication launch of its hard-hitting documentary series Intervention.
