Video solutions provider TVU Networks has entered a collaboration with German TV, film and outside broadcast production company TVN Group to provide the local broadcast market with IP video transport solutions.

TVN produces live broadcasts and regional programmes for public and private TV stations in Germany and claims to operate one of the most powerful broadcasting fleets in Europe using Ultra HD-HDR, 3D-audio, UAV as well as 360° virtual reality and augmented reality technology. It has branches in Hanover, Berlin, Hamburg, Bremen, Kiel, Frankfurt on the Main, Cologne, Leipzig, Munich and St. Veit (Austria).

“Our customers are facing growing demand for more news content across more platforms, so we need to help them with new and innovative ways of newsgathering,” explained TVN Group CIO Bernd Dypka. “Deploying the advanced live IP video acquisition solutions from TVU, delivers the flexibility, mobility and reliability needed to tell stories from any location “We worked closely with TVU Networks to ensure that our joint solutions enable broadcasters to get the heart of the news and action as it happens – whether in Germany or further afield.”

The first joint projects will see broadcasters deploy the TVU One mobile solutions to ensure, said the provider, that TVN customers can deliver the ‘best possible’ live streaming video services, with ‘unmatched’ quality and reliability regardless of location. The collaboration has been facilitated by TVU Networks partner QVEST Media.
