Croatia’s A1 opts for ‘mobile first’ strategy

A1 Hrvatska, formerly known as Vipnet, has become the first large company in Croatia to adopt a ‘mobile first’ strategy.
Quoting Ivan Skender, the MD for business transformation at A1 Hrvatska, Poslovni reports that everything the company is now developing must first be offered through its mobile application My A1.
He added that on average more than half of mobile users in Croatia have smartphones.
Given that A1 has just under 2 million mobile customers, My A1 could have around 500,000 users.
Furthermore, it has been found that every fourth user in fact accesses the app at least once a month. This points to My A1 having about 125,000 active users.
