Altice Europe is preparing to put its high-speed fibre network business in Portugal up for auction.
Reuters reports the process is likely to get underway in the next two weeks with three potential bidders in the frame including KKR and Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners.
Altice took full control of Portugal Telecom in 2015 in a €7.4 billion deal. It now wants to replicate the sale of the French fibre business, SFR FTTH, which netted the company €1.8 billion.
Altice has 759,000 fibre/cable subs in Portugal.
