SLR begins work on new animated children’s TV series

Australian children’s entertainment company SLR productions has announced the commencement of production on its new original CGI animated series, Space Nova for Super RTL, ABC ME and NINE Network.

Space Nova comprises 26 x 24 minute episodes which are specifically geared to a global six to ten year old audience. The action is set in 2162 where life is a blast for space adventurer siblings, Jet and Adelaide Nova. The tweens divide their days between living on an international space station and accompanying their parents on interstellar missions. Jet and Adelaide also have to attend school and do homework but on weekends they have their own unique way of unwinding.

The series will be distributed worldwide by ZDF Enterprises, excluding Australia and New Zealand which is being handled by ACTF. With development funding from Super RTL, ABC ME and the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF), Space Nova is co-produced with Giggle Garage in Malaysia. The series has also received major production funding fromScreen Australia and is financed with support from Create NSW.
