comScore ranks SendtoNews as leading digital sports video platform

North American sports video distribution platform SendtoNews (STN) has been ranked by measurement from comScore as top sports digital video platform in January 2019 with the most unique viewers, videos viewed, and videos watched per viewer.

In the month, STN saw 11,127,000 unique viewers and 396,952,000 videos viewed. With nearly 400 million videos viewed, this said STN put it more than 150 million views ahead of the second ranked platform, ESPN. Overall, STN seeing 22% more unique viewers and 54% more videos viewed in January when compared with December’s comScore report.

SendtoNews attributed its success with comScore’s January ranking to a combination of ‘innovative’ technology and strong partnerships. It also said that it increased engagement and maximised both user experience and viewability by delivering sports video content delivered via advanced player technology.

The STN player automatically builds playlists of official sports highlights, interviews, and game analysis to keep sports fans on-page and engaged longer, yielding multiple video impressions per user.
