RTBF inks deals for new set of Prime docs

More deals signed by LA/Paris-based producer/distributor Prime Entertainment Group which has now closed a package deal with Belgian media group Radio Télévision Belge (RTBF) for five hours’ of documentary programming.
The French speaking public broadcasting organisation owns four free-to-air TV channels ARTE Belgium, La Une, La Deux and La Trois. The Prime shows will air on La Trois which focuses on Discovery-type programme which are said to be of high-quality for a curious and multicultural audience.
Content pieces include the documentaries Groove Cruise (1x52’), Scorching Summer in Odessa (1x52’), Albania: Forbidden Paradise (1x52’), Oakland's Juvenile Squad (1x52’), and Cape Town, the Anti-gang Squad. All programmes have been produced by one of Prime’s other distrubtion partners.
Prime’s presence in Belgium has been growing and growing over the last couple of years with several deals closed with channels such as Medialaan, SBS and RTL as well. Commenting on the new deal, Prime managing director David Freydt said: “We are very proud to be working with RTBF, it has been a great partner for more than six years and this is already our second deal together [since] 2019. We love working with them and being able to offer the best and most diverse content of the market to fulfil its growing demand is a true satisfaction for us, especially in the Belgian territory.”
