“Jamie Oliver is a much-loved talent and we’re delighted to complete the deal with Channel 4, bringing Food Network fans more of his most popular cooking shows,” said Jamie Watkins, content sourcing and acquisitions manager at Discovery.
Karla Berry, senior manager for 4 Distribution at Channel 4 added: “We’re really pleased to build upon our long-standing distribution relationship with Discovery with a great package of high-quality food programming, and delighted to be extending the audiences of these popular shows even further via their Food Network channel.”
Discovery took control of Food Network as part of its acquisition of Scripps Networks Interactive in 2018. Oliver ranks as one of the most popular chefs on the channel, alongside US favourites Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives’ Guy Fieri and Pioneer Woman’s Ree Drummond.
