Synamedia further expands management team

As it maintains its business ramp-up, independent video software provider Synamedia has expanded its senior team with the appointment of Mark Billinge as VP of operations and services product management and Avidan Lamdan as VP of platform product management.

The respected industry professionals from MENA operator OSN and Kaltura respectively and alongside Synamedia’s other product management heads, they will be responsible for refining and driving Synamedia’s platform, operations and services to meet current and future market requirements.

Billinge (pcitured) spent 12 years at the MENA DTH satellite operator, the last six as CTO. His operational expertise is seen as ‘invaluable’ as Synamedia delivers scalable, carrier-grade services to support what it says is a growing demand for its cloud-based offerings. He will also lead Synamedia’s services product management team, ensuring that the firm’s growing range of services align with the product portfolio and with customers’ needs. “I look forward to bringing my operator viewpoint to shape products and services at Synamedia,” he remarked on his appointment.

Lamdan will lead Synamedia’s Foundation and Infinite product management teams - including the cloud DVR solution, which is integrated with Infinite and is also offered as a standalone solution. At Kaltura he was SVP strategy and before that senior vice president, products and VP R&D. Previously, Lamdan was CTO and VP of R&D at Tvinci until Kaltura acquired the business in 2014. “I relish the opportunity to lead the platforms product management teams and help Synamedia’s customers thrive in a changing pay-TV world,” said Lamdan.
