Getting further mileage from its motoring fleet of programmes, Prime Entertainment Group has announced a package deal with the Mediawan network for 50 episodes of its factual entertainment series The Perfect Car.
The Paris/LA-based producer and distributor’s 98x44’programme sees two hosts take the audiences with them on and adventure in finding the best used cars deals while enjoying the ride. It is the leading show in Prime’s motor catalogue which contains more than 200 hours of programming. The slate includes the latest seasons of Graveyard Carz (26 x 52’), which was recently sold to Discovery, as well as Test Drive (71 x 26’), which has been procured by All Media Latvia and SONY AXN among others.
Following its merger with AB Group in 2019, Mediawan is one of the largest and most diversified TV networks in France and has a portfolio of channels widely distributed in French-speaking Europe and Africa. Its channels include AB1, AB3, Action, Cine FX, RTL9 and the recently rebranded new motoring channel Automoto which will air The Perfect Car.
“We are truly glad to have signed this new deal for the new Automoto channel,” commented Prime Entertainment Group head of sales Alexandra Marguerite. “We have been working with the AB Group for the last five years and it is a really good client. Our motor catalogue works very well internationally and it’s a great satisfaction to have The Perfect Car airing now in France.”
