Wag Entertainment, the content sales division of London-based independent TV production house Wag, has revealed that it will present for the first time at MIPTV, two war series: WW2 In Numbers and War Factories.

World War 2 in Numbers is the latest series in Wag’s developing In Numbers franchise. It follows on from the success of Great War In Numbers (6 x 60’) and uses statistics to tell the story of the Second World War. This series backed up with ‘show and tell’ demonstrations includes location filming, films and stills archives and compelling interviews with leading historians.

With location filming and previously unseen archive, War Factories (8 x 60’) tells theuntold story of war production during World War 2. The series tells the story of the ‘war of the factories’ ... the real story of how the war was won and lost.

Pre-sales for the shows have already been secured with several key broadcasters in territories including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, CEE, Nordics and Africa. “These shows take an innovative and surprising approach to a subject area which is still in high demand across the world,” said Janice Strangward, SVP sales at Wag Entertainment. “We’re setting out to refresh and reinvent the way these stories are told.”

In addition to the new war series, Wag Entertainment will be headed to MIPTV to close more deals including that for Cannes for True Evil: Making of a Nazi (6 x 60’).
