In a move designed to allow direct access to cloud-native solutions for Nordic region content owners challenged with the increasing demands of delivering live events at scale, M2A Media has announced a partnership with Mediability.

M2A Media specialises in the live video delivery of sports and entertainment events. Its live streaming technology and operations service sees use by the likes of DAZN, BBC and ITV. Its live capture service uses the cloud to create trimmed, digital assets from live SD, HD and 4K content, allowing viewers access to VOD content. The claimed high-speed of this operation allows broadcasters to monetise those assets when they are most in demand.

The collaboration will bring together M2A’s cloud-video expertise and Mediability’s broadcaster relationships and understanding of the region. They will offer fully cloud-native live streaming, live capture and disaster recovery services to premium sports and entertainment content rights holder in the Nordics.

“As we expand our international operations, choosing the right partners is incredibly important to us. Therefore we are delighted to collaborate with Mediability,” commented M2A Media CEO Marina Kalkanis. “The Mediability team has the right combination of technical expertise and market knowledge to support the value of M2A’s offering to the Nordic region. We look forward to working closely with the team in Scandinavia, as our presence in the region grows.”

“We look forward to offering the excellent live streaming and live capture solutions from M2A to our customers in the Scandinavian market,” added Stian Elde, CEO Mediability. “M2A has a proven track record in supporting broadcasters and sports rights holders, which is a perfect match with Mediability and our systems integration services.”
