MBC Group wins exclusive MENA Formula One broadcast rights

After years of being available on subscription-only networks in the region, the FIA Formula One World Championship returns to the Middle East & North Africa region on a free-to-air television channel with MBC Group.
The leading regional media company has won the exclusive rights to broadcast the Championship until the year 2023. The MBC Action channel has already covered the training sessions and qualifiers of the Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne. and is all set for Grand Prix day where Lewis Hamilton will defend his title from pole position.
As part of the agreement with the sport’s governing body FIA, MBC Action’s production team have put in place what it claims is ‘special’ technical and logistical arrangements to provide what it claims will be the best live broadcast experience for Formula One fans across the region. Each Grand Prix will include correspondents on site, bringing the latest news from the ground, with exclusive analytical coverage coming from MBC’s studios, courtesy a number of guest commentators.
