ZDF, PCCW sign first drama deal

The commercial subsidiary of European broadcast giant ZDF, ZDF Enterprises, and Hong Kong media firm PCCW have signed their first drama deal package.

The package includes Hamburg Homicide (6x45’), a crime series produced by ZDF Enterprises subsidiary Network Movie for German Pubcaster ZDF; Swedish cop series Before we die (10x60’), produced by A B-Reel Films production in co-production with SVT, ZDF, ZDF Enterprises and FRSM; mini-series Ku’damm 56’ and its sequel Ku’damm 59 on the lives of a Berlin family in the 1950s, produced by UFA Fiction for ZDF and whose leading lady Sonja Gerhardt gained an iEmmy nomination.

The programmes will be aired on PCCW’s English language free television channel ViuTVsix in Hong Kong.
